On Wednesday, October 11th, FCHS Educator Ricardo Kairios hosted a food security resource table at the Mercer County Library System Ewing Branch. During the event, Ricardo met with individuals and families to answer questions about nutrition. He provided strategies for saving money while shopping, which included using unit pricing, comparing brand labels, and taking advantage of coupons/sales. Ricardo also shared resources about federal food assistance programs, such as SNAP and WIC. He highlighted how individuals can access local food using the Mercer County Free Food Finder, a tool maintained by the Trenton Health Team. Use the link below to learn more about these resources.
