Meredith Melendez, County Agricultural Agent, addressed an audience of extension educators and state and federal regulators at the annual NECAFS meeting. The audience was informed of the On-Farm Readiness Review (OFRR) post-farm visit survey results for the region in 2025, showing the readiness and needs of farms as they prepare for a federal food safety inspection. Produce safety extension educators were also given the results of a survey to better understand the value and use of the OFRR post-farm visit survey data. This information sharing continues to inform the educational community on priority needs for resources and trainings, and the regulatory community on funding priorities for enforcement and education within their departments.
