Hey, Mercer County! Did you know that flexibility and balance activities are important for joint and bone health? Participating in these types of activities regularly throughout the week can also help improve your movement ability, such as your body’s reaction time, and reduce your risk of fall-related injuries. An example of a flexibility activity is holding a stretch on a certain body part or engaging in repetitive movements using different parts of your body, like creating large circles by rotating your arms. An example of a balance activity can be as simple as standing on one leg or walking a straight line.
