During this webinar, Ricardo explained the three major types of physical activity (aerobic activities, muscle-strengthening activities, and flexibility/balance activities), which included an overview of the health benefits and recommended duration. He provided examples of ways folks can easily engage in these activities throughout the week. Ricardo also shared resources from Move Your Way, a campaign developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It offers tools for individuals and families that support physical activity throughout the lifespan and offers an app for individuals to develop their own activity plan.
