This year’s 4-H Day Camps focused on the best the 4-H program has to offer! Campers practiced life skills like cooking and sewing, and enjoyed the added experience of learning about growing food from our Rutgers Master Gardeners and the importance of healthy eating from our SNAP-Ed Educators! Of course, it would not be summer camp without some creative crafting, so campers used materials like discarded glasses, clay pots and yarn to upcycle some useful items. Along with the fun and learning, campers took the time to make birthday cards for fellow youth who are currently living in foster care. Mercer County 4-H thanks Children’s Home Society, CYO of Mercer County, and Christina Seix Academy for collaborating with us for a wonderful summer. All in all, 4-H camp included the best activities with some of our best young people!
