Be sure to check out the Spring 2022 Issue of Princeton Magazine. Wendy Greenberg writes a comprehensive article about today’s 4-H, profiling Mercer County 4-H. Greenberg details 4-H’s roots in educating future farmers and how today’s 4-H continues that strong agricultural tradition while expanding its educational reach to include a variety of STEM initiatives. These programs allow Mercer County youth, particularly those within the greater Trenton area, to be exposed to STEM while benefiting from the solid 4-H youth development model – an approach that teaches independence, mastery, and generosity while instilling a sense of belonging to their community and 4-H. In addition, the article includes beautiful pictures of both historical and current 4-H’ers in action. An excellent, wide-ranging article and a very worthwhile read (if we do say so ourselves)!
