Last month, Ricardo Kairios had the honor of speaking at the Mercer County Board of Commissioners meeting, emphasizing the critical need for representation and belonging to advance health equity for LGBTQIA2S+ individuals in Mercer County. Ricardo participated alongside fellow stakeholders, advocates, and community leaders, including Mercer County Executive Dan Benson, in this historic discussion regarding the establishment of a new Mercer County Office of LGBTQIA+ Affairs.
Earlier this year, Ricardo co-founded the Mercer County LGBTQIA2S+ Community Coalition, bringing together passionate community partners dedicated to advancing queer health and combating discrimination.
If you’re interested in learning more about the coalition or exploring opportunities to get involved, please reach out to Ricardo at Ricardo.Kairios@rutgers.edu. Together, we can champion meaningful progress for the queer community!
