Hey Mercer County, have you visited Capital City Farms yet this summer?!
Last month, Ricardo Kairios, FCHS Educator/Assistant Professor, partnered with Capital City Farm and the West Windsor Township Health Department to bring locally grown produce to individuals at the Vincent J. Calcagno Robbinsville Township Senior Center. The produce shared included fresh tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, and squash!
Capital City Farm is a part of the Mercer County Park Commission and is open to the public for self-guided tours on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Individuals can visit the farm during operating hours to enjoy the scenery, connect with agriculture, and pick their own produce to enjoy. Learn more about the farm by visiting their website, Capital City Farm!
If you’re in the Robbinsville Township area, you can also check out the Robbinsville Township Farmers Market for locally grown produce, locally made goods, and weekly attractions. Check out their website to learn more!
