The Mercer County 4-H Seeds of Green Club began meeting this winter in space provided by Cherry Grove Farm in Lawrenceville. We are grateful to the farm manager and farmers of Cherry Grove for partnering with us to provide 4-H members a place to learn and explore! Seeds of Green members are interested in learning about animals, gardening, and sustainability practices. Cherry Grove farmers have hosted information sessions about goats, sheep, chickens, and pigs. The club also enjoyed a winter field trip to nearby Stony Brook Stables to learn about horses. Some of our members will also turn their attention to horticultural practice with the warming weather.
