FCHS Program Provides Recess Equipment for Gregory Elementary School!

In addition to teaching nutrition and cooking classes for children at schools in the Trenton Public School District, FCHS also facilitates School Wellness Committees at several schools.  When the committee at Gregory Elementary School expressed interest in getting more recess equipment, to make recess more fun and to increase the physical activity of the children, FCHS purchased $500 of equipment for the school. The items included:  jump ropes, 10 basketballs, 18 kickballs, 2 sets of baseball bases, and mesh bags, for easy storage and transport of the equipment to and from the playground.  According to the gym teacher at the Gregory School, the children have been enjoying using the equipment, and they have been more active during recess!
